Saint Malo [sɛ̃.ma.lo] (also known as Maclou or Mac'h Low, or in Latin as Maclovius or Machutus, born c. 27 March 520, died 15 November 621) was a mid-sixth century founder of Saint-Malo, a commune in Brittany, France. He was one of the seven founding saints of Brittany.
Saint Malo of Aleth was baptized as an adult by Saint Brendan the Navigator. He became a student of Saint Brendan. As a monk at Llancarfan Abbey in Wales, Saint Malo was known for his participation in the famous Voyage of Saint Brendan. As an Immigrant to Brittany, he helped in the missionary work of Saint Aaron of Brittany, was the First bishop of Aleth (modern Saint-Servan, France) and established churches in the area of Brittany now named Saint-Malo in his honor. Saint Malo of Aleth was later driven from the area to Saintes, France by opponents of his mission.
Details of Malo's career have been preserved in three medieval 'Lives' that seem to include incidents associated with multiple people bearing a similar name. It appears that Saint Malo of Aleth was probably born in Wales in approximately 520.
Malo's name may derive from the Old Breton machlou, a compound of mach "warrant, hostage" and lou (or loh) "brilliant, bright, beautiful".

Peacetime is the eighth studio album by Eddi Reader released in the UK on 29 January 2007.
The album was promoted the following month by a full UK tour with her own band including John McCusker, Boo Hewerdine, Kevin McGuire, Alan Kelly and Roy Dodds.
Eddi says the album started with a desire to work with some of the UK's amazing traditional folk musicians and some contemporary players who she considers the best in their field. "They are free from the normal music business eccentricities and attitude that I associate with the pop industry," she explains.
"They are like old New Orleans jazz players in their lack of ego and interest in making a complete sound with whoever is in the room." "I wanted to inject some soul into some of the old songs. I wanted to record, play with them like they were brand new, revealing the heart within them."
She also has written some new songs: "I wanted to hear what these musicians would do with them; I was inviting them into my world as I stepped into theirs. As a result the modern songs have a real traditional thread going through them, making it all hopefully ... just music not labelled folk or contemporary or singer-songwriter or jazz!"
In politics, peacetime is defined as any period of time where there are no violent conflicts occurring between two or more parties. For example, the time after World War II is considered peacetime in Western Europe and the United States.

In visual perception, the far point is the point at which an object must be placed along the optical axis of the eye for its image to be focused on the retina when the eye is not accommodating. It is sometimes described as the farthest point from the eye at which images are clear.
For an unaccommodated emmetropic eye, the far point is at infinity, but for the sake of practicality, infinity is considered to be 6 m because the accommodation change from 6 m to infinity is negligible.
For an unaccommodated myopic eye, the far point is closer than 6 m.
For an unaccommodated hypermetropic eye, incident light must be converging before entering the eye so as to focus on the retina. In this case the far point is behind the eye in virtual space, rather than in front of the eye.
