Beyond (band)

Beyond was a Hong Kong rock band that formed in 1983. The band became prominent in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia and Mainland China. The band is widely considered as the most successful and influential Cantonese music group from Hong Kong. In 1993, the founder of the group Wong Ka Kui died due to an accident while filming a show at Fuji Television in Tokyo. Beyond continued to perform and record after Wong Ka Kui's death. In 2005, the remaining members Paul Wong, Wong Ka Keung and Yip Sai Wing decided to pursue their own solo careers, and Beyond officially disbanded.

Beyond (TV series)

Beyond is a Canadian paranormal documentary television series produced by Renegade Motion Pictures. It began airing in January 2005 and is currently in its second run. Robin Poitras was the hostess in seasons one and two, and Alannah Myles took on the role for seasons three and four.

The show used to air on Space Saturdays at 5 p.m. EST and again on Sundays 8 a.m. EST. Episodes are available on Hulu, Amazon Video, YouTube on Demand, and various other digital platforms across the internet.

Steven Rumbelow has written and directed the series as a continuation of a 90 minute documentary called Ghosts. He brings an academic perspective on the paranormal, from life after death to the power of thought.

The show uses interviews from well respected academics such as physicists to practitioners such as shamans. There are eye witness accounts as well for things like orbs, ghosts, evps, alternative healing, etc.

Every season of Beyond has a main theme and the last episode of each season is a conclusions episode where they summarize the season and have a round table discussion, which includes the experts and practitioners from the season.

"Beyond" is a three-minute long instrumental song by the band The Moody Blues from their 1969 album To Our Children's Children's Children, a concept album about space travel. "Beyond" was written by the Moody Blues' drummer Graeme Edge. It was the Moody Blues' second fully instrumental song on one of their albums. The first was the song " The Voyage" from their previous album On the Threshold of a Dream. It was also the first released Moody Blues song written by Edge that did not involve spoken vocals.

In the compilation This Is The Moody Blues, the first portion of this track is dubbed into the background of the poem "The Word", originally from the In Search of the Lost Chord album.

Beyond is a 2010 Swedish drama film directed by Pernilla August, starring Noomi Rapace, Ola Rapace, Tehilla Blad, Outi Mäenpää and Ville Virtanen. The original Swedish title is Svinalängorna, which means "The swine rows" and refers to the housing project where parts of the story are set. The film is based on the novel with the same name by Susanna Alakoski. It was shown at the 67th Venice International Film Festival on 6 September 2010 and got the International Critic's Week Award.

Dil Beyond is the sixth full-length studio album of Finnish melodic death metal band Omnium Gatherum and their second record released on Lifeforce Records. The album was released digitally worldwide on February 22, 2013, and physical CD was released in Finland, Germany, Switzerland and Australia on February 22, in the rest of Europe on February 25, and in North America on March 5. the album was produced by Teemu Aalto and Sami Koivisto and recorded at Teemu Aalto Music Productions studio (except for drums, which was recorded at Nordic Audio Labs by Sami Koivisto). It was mixed and mastered by Dan Swanö at Unisound Studio. The album's artwork was created by Olli Lappalainen.

Dos Beyond is one of the most anticipated releases by the band since they made their breakthrough with their previous album New World Shadows. As stated by guitarist Markus Vanhala on the band's official website "The album follows the good known path of “New World Shadows” and “ The Redshift” but adds a lot of new flavours and spices to the good ol' melting pot to lift the band to a new heights." Markus also stated that Beyond is their most melodic and versatile album so far but still holds the brutal side in terms of Jukka Pelkonen's vocals. The basic theme of the album is about the culmination point of one's existence. It is a coming home story where the mysteries of duality are melted into oneness but without losing one single point of individuality along the arrival.

On January 9, 2013, the band released the teaser track "New Dynamic" on YouTube via Facebook page. The official music video for "The Unknowing" was released on February 6, 2013.

ABC Family ordered the pilot in April 2015, and picked the show up to series in November 2015. It is set to debut in the 2017 television season on Freeform.
