It is built through an international collaboration of collectors and experts, and encourages users to submit, edit, update and expand articles for future generations of collectors.

The site includes information about a wide variety of subjects ranging from art, postage stamps, coins, classic cars, wine to comic books.

Launched in February 2011, the site had already amassed over 400,000 articles as of July 2013.
