SteatoTest

The SteatoTest measures hepatic steatosis ( triglyceride deposits in the liver) in patients with chronic hepatitis C or B, alcoholic liver disease and metabolic steatosis ( overweight, diabetes, hyperlipidemia).

The SteatoTest is calculated using an original combination of nine highly concentrated biochemical markers, which are easy to assess. The SteatoTest offers a non invasive alternative for measuring hepatic steatosis ( triglyceride deposits in the liver) in patients with chronic hepatitis C or B, alcoholic liver disease and metabolic steatosis ( overweight, diabetes, hyperlipidemia).

The SteatoTest combines alpha2-macroglobulin, haptoglobin, apolipoprotein A1, total bilirubin, Gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase (GGT), fasting glucose, triglycerides, cholesterol, and alanine transaminase (ALT), with parameters adjusted for patient’s age, gender, weight and height.
