Spider-Woman is the code name of several fictional characters in comic books published by Marvel Comics. The first Spider-Woman, Jessica Drew, had her own animated television series, and the second Spider-Woman, Julia Carpenter, was a regular in the 1990s TV series Iron Man, part of The Marvel Action Hour.

In 2009, the character received her second self-titled limited series, written by Bendis, which ran for seven issues. As part of the 2014 Spider-Verse event, Spider-Woman began her third ongoing series, this time written by Dennis Hopeless. This series was interrupted by Marvel's 2015 Secret Wars event, and ended with issue #10. Spider-Woman was relaunched several months later with a new issue #1, still written by Hopeless and continuing the story from the previous volume.

Spider-Woman ( Gwen Stacy), commonly referred to as Spider-Gwen, is a Marvel Comics fictional character that debuted in Edge of Spider-Verse #2 as part of the 2014–15 Spider-Man event Spider-Verse comic book. Her debut was exceedingly popular. After her debut, she would star in an ongoing series published by Marvel Comics named Spider-Gwen beginning February 2015. The series explores her universe of Earth-65, where, instead of Peter Parker, Gwen Stacy was bitten by the radioactive spider, leading her into a career as the Spider-Woman of her world.
