Speechless (Steven Curtis Chapman album)

Speechless is the ninth studio album by the Christian singer Steven Curtis Chapman. It was released on June 15, 1999, by Sparrow Records.

It was certified platinum by the RIAA on November 27, 2000. Chapman received the 2000 Grammy Award for Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album and Dove Awards for Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year and Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year (for "Dive").

The album provided more No. 1 chart singles (seven) on Christian contemporary radio than any of Chapman's other albums: "The Change", "Fingerprints of God", "The Invitation", "Great Expectations", "Be Still And Know", "Dive" and the title song "Speechless". The album is considered one of Chapman's greater works by many, and is recognized by many as being one of the best Christian albums of all time.

The concert tour in support of Speechless featured Chapman's longtime friend and co-writer Geoff Moore.

Speechless (Fred Frith album)

Speechless is a 1981 solo album by English guitarist, composer and improviser Fred Frith of the group Henry Cow. It was Frith's third solo album, and was originally released in the United States on LP record on The Residents' Ralph record label. It was the second of three solo albums Frith made for the label.

Speechless was recorded in France, Switzerland and the United States, and featured Frith with French Rock in Opposition group Etron Fou Leloublan on the first side of the LP, and Frith's New York City band Massacre on the second. It is mostly a studio album with extracts from a Massacre concert mixed into four of the tracks on side two of the LP.

Speechless has been described as a mixture of folk music, free improvisation, avant-rock and noise. AllMusic said that it is often regarded as one of Frith's best solo albums.

Speechless is a 2012 Hong Kong — mainland China film, directed by Simon Chung, about a mute Frenchman who is found naked by the banks of a river in Wuhan in mainland China. He is rescued and sent to a local hospital where he is treated by a male nurse who cares for him and later discovers the secrets of his past.

Speechless is the third feature film by director Simon Chung. His previous films were Innocent, released in 2005, and End of Love, in 2009.

The film premiered at the BFI 26th London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival, on 28 March 2012, and contains brief full-frontal male nudity.
