Wikipedia
Sleepwalking

Sleepwalking, also known as somnambulism or noctambulism, is a sleep disorder belonging to the parasomnia family. Sleepwalkers arise from the slow wave sleep stage in a state of low consciousness and perform activities that are usually performed during a state of full consciousness. These activities can be as benign as sitting up in bed, walking to a bathroom, and cleaning, or as hazardous as cooking, driving, violent gestures, grabbing at hallucinated objects, or even homicide.

Although sleepwalking cases generally consist of simple, repeated behaviours, there are occasionally reports of people performing complex behaviours while asleep, although their legitimacy is often disputed. Sleepwalkers often have little or no memory of the incident, as their consciousness has altered into a state in which it is harder to recall memories. Although their eyes are open, their expression is dim and glazed over. Sleepwalking may last as little as 30 seconds or as long as 30 minutes.

Sleepwalking (EP)

Sleepwalking is the second release by Ammonia, released in March 1995. The EP reached No. 86 on the Australian singles chart.

Ammonia formed in 1992 with Dave Johnstone and Allan Balmont. The guitarist and drummer were then performing under the name Fuzzswirl. It wasn't until 1993 that bassist Simon Hensworth joined the group and the band's name was changed to Ammonia. The group's success was due mostly to its hometown style of recording and word of mouth. The trio released a cassette of recordings and became a well-known band in Perth.

Ammonia was the first band to sign with Sony's Murmur label in 1994 (the second band to sign was the then unknown Newcastle group Silverchair). Ammonia's first release on the Murmur label was the EP, In a Box, in 1994 which was composed of the band's early recordings paired with the newly recorded title song. Again the band was supported by Triple J, who played a number of songs from the EP, expanding their fan base around Australia, and ensuring another successful tour. In early 1995 they released their second EP, Sleepwalking, which again featured the band's self produced recordings paired with a newly recorded title track. Sleepwalking included the first official release of "Orange Juice" and aided by continued touring, saw the band crossover from Triple J to commercial radio. The EP was re-released later in the year and included a card featuring information on the band and noting that the tracks on this CD are tracks from Ammonia’s first two Australian EPs.

Sleepwalking (Gerry Rafferty album)

Sleepwalking is the fifth studio album by Gerry Rafferty, released in 1982. It is the follow-up to the 1980 album Snakes and Ladders. It would be Rafferty's last album for Liberty/United Artists, and his last for six years.

Sleepwalking was co-produced by Rafferty and Christopher Neil who went on to become the producer for Mike + The Mechanics. Unlike the previous Rafferty albums such as City to City and Night Owl there is considerable use of synthesisers and drum programming, some of the latter done by Christopher Neil, along with contributions from British session musicians including Hugh Burns, Mo Foster, Liam Genockey, Kenny Craddock, Maurice Pert and Mel Collins.

The album was reissued as a 2-CD set with Snakes and Ladders by EMI in August 2012.

The track "The Right Moment" from this album was later recorded by Olivia Newton-John in 1985 for her Soul Kiss album.
