Showtime (stylized as "SHOWTIME" and sometimes abbreviated as "SHO" since 1997), is an American premium cable and satellite television network that serves as the flagship service of the Showtime Networks subsidiary of CBS Corporation, which also owns sister services The Movie Channel and Flix. Showtime's programming primarily includes theatrically released motion pictures and original television series, along with boxing and mixed martial arts matches, occasional stand-up comedy specials and made-for-TV movies.

The Showtime brand is used by a number of channels and platforms around the world, but primarily refers to the group of eight multiplex channels in the United States. As of July 2015, Showtime's programming is available to approximately 28.693 million television households (24.7% of cable, satellite and telco customers) in the United States (28.516 million subscribers or 24.5% of all households with pay television service receive at least Showtime's primary channel). The channel and its corresponding networks are headquartered at Paramount Plaza on the northern end of New York City's Broadway district.

Showtime is an Australian television series which aired on ABC from 1959 to 1960. It was a short-lived variety series which featured pianist Ted Preston and other performers. It aired live in Melbourne. It is shown in a 1959 television schedule as airing at 9:00PM, aired against Whitehall Playhouse on HSV-7 (consisting of selections from various American anthology series) and U.S. series The Loretta Young Show on GTV-9 (also an anthology series). It is not known if any of the episodes survive as kinescopes.

Showtime is the eighth studio album by American musician James Brown. The album was released in April 1964, by Smash Records. It was the transition album from King Records to Smash Records, however, handicapped by contractual obligations with King Records, Brown released an album of remakes overdubbed with canned applause. Brown's vocal group, The Famous Flames are included in the albums intro, are featured on the album's cover, and are featured on several of the album's tracks, including "Don't Cry Baby", "Out of The Blue" and "Caldonia". Showtime is a Croatian show similar to Pop Idol. The show started in the fall of summer 2007 when auditions were held in Osijek, Rijeka, Split and Zagreb. Out of more than 1,000 auditioners, 200 made it through to the next round, in which the judges picked the Top 22. All of the semi-finalists were called to Zagreb for the Piano Round, in which the judges decided on the Top 16 - 8 male and 8 female contestants. The format in the finals was as following: All of the contestants would perform, the judges would give their marks (1-5, 5 being the best) to each contestant and then the judges' marks would combine with public vote giving two contestants (always 1 male and 1 female) who pulled in the lowest overall score and who had to leave the competition. This format was used all the way to Top 6, when only contestant left the show. The following week, Top 5, one more contestant left the show, leaving 4 finalists who competed in the 4-way Finale. 16-year-old Franka Batelić won the competition.

In basketball, Showtime was an era in Los Angeles Lakers history when the National Basketball Association (NBA) team played an exciting run-and-gun style of basketball. Led by Magic Johnson's passing skills and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's scoring, the team relied on fast breaks and won five NBA championships. Lakers owner Jerry Buss purchased the team in 1979, and he wanted their games to be entertaining. He insisted that the Lakers play an up-tempo style, and the team hired dancers and a live band for their home games at The Forum. The team established a Hollywood-celebrity following.

Showtime is a type of performance Litefeet / pole dancing done as a busking routine using hand holds installed inside New York City Subway cars. Showtime includes acrobatic flips, hat and shoe tricks, and pole tricks. Estimates have placed the number of Showtime dancers in the low hundreds.

Other versions of the news stated that the first broadcast will start in December 2015 and is INFINITE's 1st reality show in 1 year and 8 months since their last reality show titled "This is INFINITE" which ended in March 2014. The concept of the show will also be "Q & A Variety", with INFINITE members answering questions from fans.
