Reddal

Reddal is a village in the municipality of Grimstad in Aust-Agder county, Norway. It is located in the western part of the municipality in the Landvik area, about west of the city center of Grimstad. The main industry in the village is agriculture, with the most important products being potatoes, berries and grain.

The Reddalsvannet, a fresh water lake, is located along the south side of the village area. It is also a protected nature reserve. In order to gain additional farmland in Reddal, a canal was built in 1877 to lower the lake's water level by . This lowered the water down to sea level. The Reddal Canal connects the Reddalsvannet and Landviksvannet lakes to the sea. Today, the canal is popular with small boats.
