Wikipedia Physornis Physornis fortis is an extinct species of giant flightless predatory birds of the family Phorusrhacidae or "terror birds", within the subfamily Brontornithinae, that lived in Argentina. It lived from 28 to 23 million years ago, during the Oligocene.
