Mothership (song)

"Mothership" is the first single by Enter Shikari. It was released as a digital download and a very limited run of 100 cd singles. It was released in August 2006. There was no vinyl released. It was available from their online store and from iTunes. It has been featured as single of the week on the iTunes Store.

A video has been made for this single, which is viewable on the band's website. The song has since been re-recorded and was included on Enter Shikari's debut album, Take to the Skies. When performed live, a dubstep intro, known as Motherstep, is played along with the song.

Mothership is a greatest hits compilation album by English rock group Led Zeppelin, released by Atlantic Records and Rhino Entertainment on 12 November 2007 in the United Kingdom, and 13 November 2007 in the United States. It was released on the same day that Led Zeppelin's entire catalog became available in digital stores, including the iTunes Store. The cover (designed by artist Shepard Fairey) is a graphical interpretation of the Beresford Hotel, Glasgow, Scotland.

The songs included were chosen by the surviving members of Led Zeppelin, Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones, and represent eight of the band's nine studio albums. In addition to a two-disc set, the album is also available in both "deluxe" and "collector's" editions with a DVD featuring varied live content from the previously released Led Zeppelin DVD (2003). A 4-LP vinyl package was also released on 26 August 2008. On 6 November 2015, the album was reissued using the audio from the band's 2014–15 remaster campaign.

On 8 November 2007, a temporary XM Satellite Radio station, XM LED was made to promote the album.

Mothership is a single-movement composition for orchestra and electronica by the American composer Mason Bates. The piece received its world premiere March 20, 2011 at the Sydney Opera House by the YouTube Symphony Orchestra under Michael Tilson Thomas, with featured improvisatorial soloists Paulo Calligopoulos on electric guitar, Ali Bello on violin, Su Chang on zither, and John Burgess on bass guitar. The premiere was broadcast live on YouTube and garnered nearly two million viewers.
