Love Letter (1995 film)

Love Letter is a 1995 Japanese film directed by Shunji Iwai and starring Miho Nakayama. The film was shot almost entirely on the island of Hokkaidō, mainly in the city of Otaru.

Love Letter became a box-office hit in Japan and later in other east Asian countries, most notably South Korea, where it was one of the first Japanese films to be shown in cinemas since World War II. In South Korea it was the tenth highest grossing general release of the year with 645,615 admissions.

Director Shunji Iwai hired Noboru Shinoda as cinematographer and the collaboration between the two produced a film praised for its evocative winter cinematography.

Iwai cast pop singer Miho Nakayama in the dual roles of Hiroko Watanabe and Itsuki Fujii. The film also launched the movie career of teenager Miki Sakai who won 'Newcomer of the Year' Award in the Japanese Academy Awards for her portrayal of Itsuki Fujii as a young girl. The main male roles were played by Etsushi Toyokawa as Akiba Shigeru and Takashi Kashiwabara as the male Itsuki Fujii.

Fine Line Features acquired all American distribution rights of ' Love Letter '; Fine Line Features released this movie in the United States theatrically under the new title When I Close My Eyes. However, Fine Line Features has not released this movie on DVD yet.

Love Letter (Gackt album)

Love Letter is the fifth full-length studio album originally released by Japanese solo artist Gackt on February 14, 2005 in Japan. A Korean language edition, titled Love Letter - For Korean Dears, was released on June 16 of the same year. It continues the unplugged theme of the earlier compilation album The Seventh Night but consists of new material, save for the song "Dears", originally from his album Mars, and "Etude", originally from the demo tape by his indie band Cains:Feel.

This drama revolves around Lee Woo-jin's conflict between priesthood and his love for childhood friend Eun-ha.

"Love Letter" is a single released by Gackt on March 1, 2006. It peaked at ninth place on the Oricon weekly chart and charted for seven weeks. The A-side and B-side were used in the Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam movie Love is the Pulse of the Stars, as opening and ending themes, respectively. "Dybbuk" also previously appeared on Gackt's 2003 album Crescent.

Love Letter (stylised as LOVE LETTER) is the fifth studio album released by Ai Otsuka on 17 December 2008. It come in a CD-only format and CD + DVD format. Thirteen songs are included; four from her singles Pocket, Rocket Sneaker / One × Time (both songs as it is a double A-side single) and Kurage, Nagareboshi.

Love Letter (Miyuki Nakajima album)

is the 31st studio album by Japanese singer-songwriter Miyuki Nakajima, released in November 2003.

The lead-off track of the album "Ride on the Gentle Luminous Dragon" was featured as a theme song for the television drama series Dr. Coto's Clinic first aired on Fuji TV in July 2003. A song was released as a single prior to the album, debuted at the number-four on the Oricon and remained on the chart for over 10 months. The album also includes her own rendition of the song "Kiss Old Memories Goodbye" which was initially recorded and released as a single by Kou Shibasaki. Original recording by Shibasaki was also featured on Dr.Coto which she acted the role of nurse.

Some of the songs on the album like "Mirage Hotel" and "The Mistress' Testimony" were also performed on her musical Yakai Vol.14 "24-Ji Chaku 0-Ji Hatsu", which was mounted at the Bunkamura Theatre Cocoon in January 2004 and later released on DVD.

Real Romance Love Letter was a South Korean television game show broadcast from 16 October 2004 to 28 October 2006 for three seasons. It was part of the line-up of programme for Real Situation Saturday ( Korean:실제상황! 토요일) which was broadcast from 8 November 2003 to 5 January 2007 on SBS network.

The programme was hosted by Kang Ho Dong and it featured male and female contestants competing for "each other" in romance games. For example guests have to dance in order to impress the person they are after. Contestants were artists, actors, models, comedians, and MCs of the South Korean entertainment industry.

Love Letter is the tenth studio album by American R&B recording artist R. Kelly; it was released on December 14, 2010, by Jive Records. It was written and produced entirely by Kelly.
