A lollipop is a type of confectionery now consisting of a sweetmeat of hard candy or water-ice mounted on a stick and intended for sucking or licking. Different informal terms are used in different places, including lolly, sucker, sticky-pop, etc. Lollipops are available in many flavors and shapes.

Lollipop (Candyman)

"Lollipop (Candyman)" is a song recorded by Danish dance-pop group Aqua. It was released as the fourth overall single from their debut album Aquarium as the follow-up to their most successful song " Barbie Girl" in Australasia, North America and Mainland Europe (it was not released in the United Kingdom.) Although it said to be one of the group's favorite songs, "Lollipop (Candyman)" failed to replicate the success of "Barbie Girl", " Doctor Jones" and " My Oh My" where it was released.

"Lollipop" featured a prominent role for René Dif, with vocals also from main vocalist Lene. The CD single was released in various forms, many containing only the short name of the track, and not the full name with the bracketised 'Candyman' at the end.

"Lollipop (Candyman)" was the group's second release in the United States, and became their second top forty hit and last song to chart there, peaking at No. 23. The US release featured " Good Morning Sunshine" as the second track on the CD single and cassette.

The character Candyman from Bountyland in the lyrics is later referenced in "Halloween", a song from Aqua's second album Aquarius.

Lollipop is an Italian girl group formed in 2001 on the international television sensation Popstars (originated in New Zealand), a precursor to the Idols shows. They sing mainly in English although they recorded two songs in Italian. They enjoyed good success in their home country.

In spring 2004 the band announced they would no longer perform together, after being dropped by their record label.

In 2013 the group, excepting Fidanza, reunited and started a comeback tour.

Lollipop, also known as Federica Gori (6 August 1970 - 5 February 2008) was an Italian pornographic actress and television personality.

Born as Maria Federica Besesti in Rome, daughter and granddaughter of actors and voice actors, Lollipop debuted as a stripper, then started her career in adult films after having met the Luca Damiano, who directed her in several films and with whom she was engaged for some years. Her works include the series Lollipop e le sue amiche and an adult soap opera the satellite channel Stream TV. In 2000 she also appeared in the documentary film Gladiatori: Reportage sul cinema hard italiano, that premiered at the Turin Film Festival.

In 2001 she filed a lawsuit against the musical group of Lollipop, that were, according to her, guilty of having stolen her stage name.

Retired from pornography, she became a television personality as the official face of ContoTv, a satellite channel broadcasting the matches of Fiorentina in the UEFA Cup and of Salernitana in its national championship, and she had some minor roles in films directed by Paolo Virzì and Carlo Verdone.

She died at 38 of a heart attack, found dead in her home, lying on the bed, in front of the television on.

'' Lollipop'' is a musical comedy in three acts with book by Zelda Sears, lyrics by Sears and Walter De Leon, and music by Vincent Youmans. The show was produced by Henry W. Savage at the Knickerbocker Theatre, and opened January 21, 1924.

It was staged by Ira Hands, choreographed by Bert French, John Tiller, and Mary Read, costume design by Schneider-Anderson Company, Bergdorf Goodman, and Finchley, and scenic design by Sheldon K. Viele and William Castle. It ran for 152 performances, closing on May 31, 1924

The cast of included Ada May (Laura Lamb), Zelda Sears (Mrs. Garrity), Nick Long, Jr. (Omar K. Garrity), Adora Andrews (Mrs. Mason), Gloria Dawn (Virginia), Aline McGill (Tessie), Leonard Ceiley (Don Carlos), and Virginia Smith (Petunia).

Laura meets an attractive plumber at the Garrity’s, is accused of stealing Mrs. Garrity’s purse, from which she is acquitted, and attends a masked ball in costume.
