"Get Down" is a song by English electronic music group Groove Armada. It features Stush and unofficially credited Red Rat. It was released officially on 23 April 2007. The song had already been released as an EP on the iTunes Store. The CD and downloads contain remixes of the song. Pleix created a music video for the title track. It peaked at number nine on the UK Singles Chart, becoming Groove Armada's first top ten single. The pixel art album cover was designed by eBoy.
The song later reached number one on the UK Dance Singles Chart.
"Get Down (You're the One for Me)" is the third single released by the Backstreet Boys from their international self-titled debut album. It was later included on their US debut album as well. In some countries "Get Down" was released as their debut single. The song features a rap with the first verse by Smooth T. of the group Fun Factory, and the second by band member A. J. McLean. When performed live, other than a few isolated cases in which Smooth T. was able to join the band, McLean raps alternate lyrics during Smooth T.'s verse. The alternate first rap verse was recorded for the song, and was used in the Markus Plastik Vocal Remix of the song is: "So get ready - ready for the flavor we are bringin' / It's time I set it off and get your body swingin' / When we're alone, girl, I wanna push up / Can I get it? (yeah!) Everybody throw your hands up." The song was premiered on the German music program, Radio Regenbogen, on February 17, 1996 in front of a live audience. The song won a MTV Europe Video Music award.
