Foxy is an animated cartoon character featured in three 1931 animated shorts in the Merrie Melodies series distributed by Warner Bros. He was the creation of animator Rudy Ising, who had worked for Walt Disney in the 1920s.

Foxy is a Latin Dance/ disco group formed in 1976 in Hialeah, Florida.

The group consisted of vocalist- guitarist Ish "Angel" Ledesma (born on October 2, 1952 in Cuba), percussionist Richard "Richie" Puente, keyboardist Charlie Murciano, bass guitarist Arnold Paseiro (born on October 30, 1950) and drummer Joe Galdo. Carl Driggs contributed vocals/percussion and shared songwriting credits on their second album, Get Off. Puente (who died on July 18, 2004 aged 51 of viral encephoplopathy following an assault) was the son of the late, famous bandleader Tito Puente.

Their biggest hit was " Get Off" in 1978 (written by Ledesma and Driggs), which peaked at #9 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on the Soul chart for two weeks. It was their only release from the album Get Off, which was released in 1978.

Their third album Hot Numbers was released the following year. The first single, "Hot Number" peaked at #21 on the Billboard Hot 100, and #4 on the Soul chart in 1979.

Ish Ledesma later formed the groups Oxo in 1983 and Company B in 1986, the latter with his wife Lori L., her sister Lezlee Livrano, and Susan Johnson.

Carl (Carlo) Driggs, in addition to his involvement and writing credits with Foxy, was the lead singer of Kracker, a group touted by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, who released three albums. Driggs was also the lead singer of Paul Revere and The Raiders for over 20 years.

Foxy is a Chinese P2P software by Vastel Technology Ltd. Inc. and is very popular in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau, however currently no project home page can be found the web. The software was treated as a trojan by antivirus software Norton Antivirus and AVG for its file sharing capability. There may also be a malware Foxy. In Taiwan and Hong Kong news reports of secret government documents carelessly shared through the share folder or setting of the software raised concerns.

Based on Ben Jonson's Volpone, it transports the original play's setting of early-17th century Renaissance Venice to the Yukon during the gold rush of 1898. Foxy and con man Doc Mosk join forces to swindle the greedy trio out of their stolen wealth. The two arrive in the Yukon with an enormous chest they claim is filled with gold and announce that Foxy is dying and looking to name an heir. As expected, the three begin to cater to their pal's every whim in the hope they'll be selected.

Subplots focus on Doc's affair with local madam Brandy; destitute Celia, who decides to sell herself to the highest bidder; and Bedrock's son Ben, who returns from Dartmouth College in time to save Celia and become involved in Foxy's shenanigans.
