Classic Rock (magazine)

Classic Rock is a British magazine dedicated to rock music, published by TeamRock, who are also responsible for its "sister" publications Metal Hammer and Prog magazine. Although firmly focusing on key bands from the 1960s through early 1990s, it also includes articles and reviews of contemporary and upcoming artists it deems worthy of note. Despite starting as an on-off project it has become one of the UK's best selling music magazines. In September 2010 it published its 150th issue and now has a higher circulation than the NME.

Current owner TeamRock bought Metal Hammer and Classic Rock from Future in 2013.

Classic Rock (Westwood One)

Classic Rock (formerly The Classic Rock Experience prior to 2011) was a 24-hour music format produced by Cumulus Media Networks (now Westwood One). It drew an adult mainstream audience between the ages of 25-49 with classic rock music from artists such as Aerosmith, The Allman Brothers Band, The Beatles, Phil Collins, Deep Purple, The Eagles, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Queen, and The Rolling Stones.

The DJ line-up included Chaz Mixon, Michelle Michaels, Frank Welch, Jeff Davis, Debbie Douglas, Scott Manning, and Dave Bolt.

Classic Rock (Dial Global radio network)

Classic Rock (formerly Rock Classics) is a 24-hour music format produced by Dial Global Networks. Its playlist consists mostly of contemporary classic rock music from artists such as Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Van Halen, The Rolling Stones. The format was launched in July 1997 by Jones Senior Director of Programming Jon Holiday and has been programmed by Adam Fendrich since 2001.

Although "Rock Classics" wasn't affected by the recent purchased of Jones Radio Networks by Triton Media Group, it was relocated into Dial Global's portfolio and re-branded as "Classic Rock" on December 29, 2008. However, Dial Global's " Adult Rock and Roll" was dissolved to make this happen.

Classic Rock (Time-Life Music)

Classic Rock was a 31-volume series issued by Time Life during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Unlike what the name may imply, the series spotlighted popular music played on Top 40 radio stations of the mid-to-late-1960s.

Much like Time-Life's other series chronicling popular music, volumes in the "Classic Rock" series covered a specific time period, including single years in some volumes and stylistic trends in others. Each volume was issued on a compact disc, cassette or (on volumes issued through 1990) 2-LP vinyl record set. Individual volumes generally contained 22 tracks, and represented the highlighted time period's most popular and noteworthy tracks. Also included was a booklet, containing liner notes written by some of the most respected historians of the genre, photographs of the artists, and information on the songs (writers, performers and peak position on Billboard magazine's Hot 100 chart).
