Verdun (; ; medieval , official name before 1970 Verdun-sur-Meuse) is a small city in the Meuse department in Lorraine in north-eastern France. It is a sub-prefecture ( arrondissement) of the department.
Verdun is the biggest city in Meuse, although the capital of the department is the slightly smaller city of Bar-le-Duc.
In the 1935 Canadian federal election, Hervé Ferland, who listed his profession as ‘merchant’, unsuccessfully sought election in Verdun riding in Quebec as the Verdun candidate. He won 4,124 votes, 16.8% of the popular vote, placing third in a field of 11 candidates, behind the Conservative Party and Co-operative Commonwealth Federation candidates.

Verdun is a station on the Green Line of the Montreal Metro rapid transit system operated by the Société de transport de Montréal (STM). It is located in the borough of Verdun in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The station opened on September 3, 1978, as part of the extension of the Green Line westward to Angrignon.
