Wikipedia Trithelodon Trithelodon was an extinct genus of cynodontian therapsid that lived during the Lower Jurassic in modern South Africa. Like cynodonts, it had many traits shared by mammals. Trithelodonts were probably insectivores, and nocturnal animals.
