Talk Dirty (John Entwistle song)

"Talk Dirty" is a song by English musician John Entwistle, the former bassist for The Who. It was released in September 1981 as a single from his fifth solo studio album, Too Late the Hero (1981), on which he is also joined by Lead Guitarist Joe Walsh (who was a member of three commercially successful bands such as The James Gang, Barnstorm and Eagles). He also joined by drummer Joe Vitale, who had a career dating back to the early 1970s.

The song received airplay in the United States on the album-oriented rock radio, and John Entwistle had a 1987 radio interview with Howard Stern about it. It later proved to become Entwistle's highest charting single release, peaking at number 41 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart.

Talk Dirty (Jason Derulo song)

"Talk Dirty" is a song by American singer Jason Derulo, released as the second single from his third studio album, Tattoos (2013) in Europe and Oceania. Derulo's third studio album was retitled Talk Dirty for its US release, featuring an alternative track listing. It was released as the third single in the US on January 7, 2014. Additional vocals are provided by American rapper 2 Chainz, making it Derulo's first single to feature a guest performer, excluding the French version of " Whatcha Say". The artists co-wrote the song with Jason Evigan, Sean Douglas, Ori Kaplan, Tamir Muskat, Tomer Yosef, and Wallpaper frontman Ricky Reed; the latter is also the song's producer. The song is built around sampled instrumentals from " Hermetico" by the Israeli band Balkan Beat Box from their 2007 studio album Nu Med. The main saxophone lick is based on characteristic Turkish traditional ornamentations, particularly rendering the Turkish wind instrument Zurna.

A music video for "Talk Dirty" was directed by Colin Tilley, which incorporates types of dance from a variety of cultures: it was released through Derulo's account on YouTube on August 7, 2013. Upon its release, "Talk Dirty" received mixed reviews from music critics, though was an international commercial success. The song reached the top position in Australia, Germany, Israel, and the United Kingdom, while also reaching the top-10 in Austria, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Hungary, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United States.

Released seven months after the original, the full-length album features seven songs from the international album as well as four newly recorded songs and was released by Warner Bros. Records on April 15, 2014. For the new material, Derulo worked with past collaborator Ricky Reed, as well as Jim Beanz, Timbaland, Sam Sumser, Chloe Angelides, Cirkut and DJ Mustard. New songs incorporate the same elements of hip hop, pop and R&B and styles previously seen in the original album. Talk Dirty features new collaborations with rappers Kid Ink, Snoop Dogg and Tyga.

Talk Dirty has been promoted during the Tattoos World Tour, as well as live performances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Dancing With the Stars and the 2014 Billboard Music Awards. A Target-exclusive edition of the album featuring 2 bonus tracks from Tattoos, was released simultaneously alongside the eleven-track standard edition, while internationally, all of the newly recorded material was included on the Special edition of Tattoos.
