Sweetgreen is an American fast casual restaurant chain that serves "simple, seasonal, healthy food". It was founded in August 2007 by Nicolas Jammet, Nathaniel Ru, and Jonathan Neman, three months after they graduated from Georgetown University's undergraduate business school. , it had 40 stores in the United States cities of Baltimore, Boston, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.. with plans to expand to Chicago and Northern California in 2016.
