Spudulike

Spudulike is a potato restaurant that first opened in Edinburgh in 1974, by David and Barbara Leggate. In 1979, Spudulike was acquired by the British School of Motoring (BSM), who helped Spudulike to rapidly expand the business as a franchise operation and create a well-loved brand throughout the UK, with a brief but utterly unsuccessful flirtation with the Irish market in the then British brand obsessed Liffey Valley shopping centre (home of one of the last Harry Ramsden's in Ireland amongst other British brands).

Spudulike began to thrive and introduce new products before it demerged from its partnership in 1982, it is now active in all areas of the fast food market as an independent family owned business.

Spudulike specialises in baked potatoes (potatoes being known as "spuds" in colloquial British English) with a wide choice of fillings and other potato based meals, including crushed potato salads and a selection of side dishes. It has branches across Britain and there are around 50 Spudulike restaurants in the UK.
