Shoes (Shania Twain song)

"Shoes" is a song performed by Canadian singer Shania Twain. It was the first single released from the Desperate Housewives soundtrack in 2005. The song was written by Twain and then-husband, Mutt Lange, and co-written by Tammy Hyler, Joie Scott and Kim Tribble. It is the last studio recording issued by Twain prior to the dissolution of her marriage to Lange, and the last Twain recording to feature any involvement from Lange. The song was originally written and recorded for use on the ABC television program Desperate Housewives.

Shoes (American band)

Shoes is an American power pop band, formed in Zion, Illinois, in 1974 by brothers John and Jeff Murphy, and Gary Klebe and incorporating several different drummers over the years including Skip Meyer, Barry Shumaker, Ric Menck, John Richardson, and Jeff Hunter.

Shoes also formed their own record label, Black Vinyl Records, and owned and operated their own commercial recording studio (Short Order Recorder) from 1983 to 2004. Many artists recorded at the studio and some went on to sign major label recording contracts, including Local H and Material Issue.

Shoes is the debut album by Kelly. It features electroclash backbeats and comedic lyrics. It was released on June 21, 2006. Six of the songs—the first six tracks—were made into music videos; however, only four were released as actual singles. In June 2009, it became available for purchase on CD at Amazon.com. It is also available as a ringtone album.

Only the first seven tracks are original songs; the rest are remixes, alternate versions or radio edits (which remove profanity). The "Canadian edit" of "What R U Guys Talking About?" is identical to the original track, but contains a stereotypical Canadian accent pronunciation of "about".

"Shoes" is the debut single by comedian Liam Kyle Sullivan, under his female Kelly character. It was released for digital download sometime in 2006, but it is unknown when. The song has become popular in pop culture, and has been performed live many times. It also made Sullivan an icon in pop culture. Kelly appears in VH1's I Hate My 30's, as well as being in Weezer's video for " Pork and Beans". The song also won the 2008 People's Choice Award for "Best User Generated Video". It is also Kelly's biggest hit to date.

Shoes is a 2012 international short film directed, written and produced by Konstantin Fam. The film is the result of a joint effort by professional team from Russia, the USA, the Czech Republic, Poland, France, Belarus and Ukraine. The film is the first installment of The trilogy "Witnesses" dedicated to the memory of victims of the Holocaust. The only nominee from Russia for the Academy Awards in the category "Best Short Film" in 2013.
