Botany- Shittim, the plural of Shittah, which is Hebrew for wood from the acacia tree, which appears in the Bible
- Abel-Shittim, later Abila (Peraea), a place which appears in the Bible
- Shittim, failed settlement (1984-2000) in the Arava Desert in the Eilat region of Israel. Since 2002, the site of an Ashram.
