Sexual revolution

The sexual revolution, also known as a time of sexual liberation, was a social movement that challenged traditional codes of behavior related to sexuality and interpersonal relationships throughout the Western world from the 1960s to the 1980s. Sexual liberation included increased acceptance of sex outside of traditional heterosexual, monogamous relationships (primarily marriage). The normalization of contraception and the pill, public nudity, pornography, premarital sex, homosexuality and alternative forms of sexuality, and the legalization of abortion all followed.

Sexual Revolution (song)

"Sexual Revolution" is the second and final single from Macy Gray's second studio album, The Id (2001).

In the United Kingdom, "Sexual Revolution" became Gray's first single since her debut, "Do Something", to miss the top forty. The single had limited success in the United States as well, missing both the Billboard Hot 100 and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts. It did manage to peak at number four, however, on the Hot Dance Club Play chart.

"Sexual Revolution" was released on two CD formats in the UK and contained remixes by Fatboy Slim aka Norman Cook and Miguel Migs. The single also contained Gray's version of the Christmas classic, " Winter Wonderland".
