Sachsensumpf
Sachsensumpf ( German, literally Saxon swamp) is the name given by journalists to a child prostitution scandal which took place in the vicinity of Leipzig, Germany from 1992 to 2014. A number of prominent local figures, including legal and political officials, were implicated in the scandal. The case remains controversial due to questions concerning the legality of evidence collection methods used by the Organized Crime Department (OK) of the Saxony State Office for the Protection of the Constitution ( Landesamt für Verfassungsschutz Sachsen - LfV), and charges of libel made against journalists covering the case.
