Ridwan (name)
Ridwan ( Riḍwān) means "pleased". According to Hadith, Ridwan is the name of the angel in charge of maintaining Jannah; Heaven or Paradise.
It is also written " Rizwan'" or " Rizvan" or " Ridvan" or " Rıdvan" in Turkish, Bosnian, Indonesian , Malay, Persian, Urdu, Pashto, Tajik, Punjabi, Kashmiri, and other languages heavily influenced by Persian. It is alternatively spelled as "Ridwan" or Riduan in Brunei, Malaysia and Indonesia, while " Redouane" is the most common spelling in French. In Bangladesh, the name for al male is "Ridwan" "Rizwan" "Redhwan " "Rezwan" and for a Female "Ridwana". It is also transliterated as Redhwan or Redwan.
