The Rheingold (Rhinegold) was a famous train that operated between Hoek van Holland, near Rotterdam, and Geneva, Switzerland (or Basel before 1965), a distance of , until 1987. Another section of the train started in Amsterdam and was coupled to the Hoek cars in Utrecht. The Rheingold ran along the Rhine River via Arnhem, Netherlands, and Cologne, Germany, using special luxury coaches. It was named after Richard Wagner's Das Rheingold opera, which romanticized the Rhine. From 1965 until the train's discontinuation in 1987, the Rheingold was a first-class-only Trans Europ Express train.

Rheingold is the 11th studio album by German band Grave Digger. It is a concept album based on Richard Wagner's The Ring of the Nibelung. The album was released in 2003. Many lines of the lyrics are quoted or paraphrased from (an English translation of) Wagner. The music also has occasional references to Wagner, the most obvious one perhaps being the intro to the song "Dragon", which is the "Siegfried's Horn Call" leitmotif.

Rheingold is the thirty-eighth album by Klaus Schulze. It was originally released in 2008, and, taking in consideration the previously released multi-disc box sets ( Silver Edition, Historic Edition, Jubilee Edition, Contemporary Works I, and Contemporary Works II), it could be viewed as Schulze's ninety-ninth album. This is the second Schulze album with guest vocalist Lisa Gerrard. It was recorded at an open-air concert in Loreley, Germany. There are several different iterations of this album: an edition of two CDs, an edition of two DVDs, and a limited edition of two CDs with two DVDs.
