R-Line (Norfolk Southern)

The R Line is a secondary main railway line running between Charlotte, North Carolina, and Augusta, Georgia, United States. The line is operated by Norfolk Southern Railway as part of the railway's Piedmont Division.

Trains on the R Line are mostly manifest, i.e. mixed freight , grain and locals. Manifests to and from Linwood Yard use the line on a daily basis. Grain trains that use the R-Line are bound to and from Asheville, North Carolina.

Crew changes for Linwood Yard and Asheville through trains occur in Salisbury, North Carolina.

All trains are required to be given track authorities from the Columbia Dispatcher.

All southbound trains on the R-Line make connections to Savannah and Atlanta via the D-Line from Augusta, GA.

R-Line (Capital Area Transit)

The R-Line is a zero-fare circulator bus service that takes riders on a three-mile, counter-clockwise loop of downtown Raleigh, North Carolina. The three green-painted, hybrid-electric buses stop every 10 to 15 minutes at stops marked with an R-Line sign. Service runs from 7 AM to 11 PM Monday through Wednesday, 7 AM to 2:15 AM Thursday through Saturday, and 1 PM to 8 PM Sunday.

R-Line (RIPTA)

The R-Line is a Rapid Bus service in Rhode Island, United States, running from Pawtucket to Cranston via downtown Providence. This route was a combination of the old routes 11 and 99. Operated by the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA), it is the agency's first rapid bus route, and the second such system to open in New England (after the MBTA Silver Line). After several years of planning and construction, R-Line service began on June 21, 2014.
