Pseudotrimezia
Pseudotrimezia is a genus of flowering plants in the family Iridaceae first described as a genus in 1945. The entire group is endemic to the State of Minas Gerais in southeastern Brazil.
The genus name is a combination of the Greek word pseudo, meaning "false", and the genus name Trimezia.
It has been placed in the tribe Trimezieae, along with the genera Trimezia, Neomarica and Pseudiris. However, molecular phylogenetic studies have not upheld any of the genera within the tribe Trimezieae; three of the four main clades found combine species from more than one genus.
