Plinabulin

Plinabulin (NPI-2358) is a 2,5-diketopiperazine derivative that is being developed as an experimental cancer drug. It is a synthetic analog of the natural compound phenylahistin. Plinabulin interrupts tumor blood flow via disruption of the tumor's vascular endothelial cells resulting in tumor necrosis. It also has a tubulin-depolymerizing activity.

It has undergone Phase I and Phase II clinical trials for non-small cell lung cancer.
