Munchies is a 1987 comedy horror film starring Harvey Korman, Charlie Stratton, and Nadine Van der Velde. Clearly inspired by the success of Gremlins, and directed by that film's editor, Tina Hirsch, the film features a remarkably similar plot line. It spawned two sequels, Munchie and Munchie Strikes Back, which possess no relation to the original save the title. These two films dealt with an impish wish-granting creature named Munchie.
Munchies is a television show that was shown on Fuse in an animated format. Clips focused on everything from odd music videos to cats parodying Hannity and Colmes to internet shorts. Also featured were videos performed by imaginary bands, such as Construction Paper Hearts On Fire. The band, Leslie and the Lys is actually a real band that is constantly touring. Polaris and the Black Holes is also real, and is still producing new material.

Munchies are a type of confectionery produced by Nestlé. They were introduced by the British firm Mackintosh's in 1957. The brand was later acquired by Nestlé as part of its takeover of Rowntree Mackintosh in 1988.
The original variety of Munchies are individual milk chocolate-coated sweets with a caramel and biscuit centre.
At some time the confectionery formerly known as Mintola (near-identical in appearance to Munchies, but consisting of plain chocolate with a mint fondant centre) was renamed Mint Munchies. In 2006, Mint Munchies were again renamed, this time as After Eight Bitesize.
Munchies is a song by UK Hip Hop artist Braintax, which appeared as the seventh track on his third album My Last And Best Album.
The track is laden with Britishisms and features lyrics about Braintax's favourite Tea, Biscuit and Cake brands, most notably praising the Hobnob as a superior biscuit.
