Slepez \Sle*pez"\, n. [Russ. sliepets'.] (Zo["o]l.) A burrowing rodent ( Spalax typhlus), native of Russia and Asia Minor. It has the general appearance of a mole, and is destitute of eyes. Called also mole rat.
