What is "loryland"

Loryland is a neighborhood in the northwest part of the Dallas, Texas. It is bounded by Interstate 635 to the north, Northwest Highway (Loop 12) to the south, Dallas North Toll Road to the east, and Stemmons Freeway (Highway 35E) to the west.

The area is home to hundreds of gay and lesbian homeowners, and is considered to be one of the best locations in the Dallas area for the LGBT community to live and work. The area was dubbed "Loryland" by Lory Masters, local real estate agent, in 1994.
