Lohegaon

Lohegaon is a village in Pune district, India. It is primarily known for the Pune International Airport, a domestic and international airport. This place also has an Air Force base, known as 2 wing, one of the oldest air base in India, after the Ambala Air Base. A lot of ex-servicemen reside in Lohegaon.

Lohagaon is being developed as the good & safe residential area adjusting to Pune City. So investment in properties is great Opportunities for investors.

There is a road which connects Lohegaon and Wagholi, which in turn connects to the Ahmednagar highway. Roads from Vishrant Wadi, Dhanori, Shinde Wadgoan and Wagholi meet at Lohegoan.

Indian Air Force have service quarters known as "New Project". Ex-Service men settled in nearby colony, known as Gurudwara Colony. There is very nice Sikh Gurdwara located in Gurdwara colony, which is run by local Sikh people. Ex-Service men have also settled at Sant Nagar, Lohegoan. There is a big house known as Ave Maria a beautiful home to see owned by Henry John. There is an upcoming posh area known as Sathe Wasti where lots of housing project are underway. RPS Tower is one of the most famous landmark in this area.

Every Sunday there is an Open Vegetable market where vendors from the village and nearby areas gather in school ground to sell fresh vegetable.

Generally people come here on the weekends for visiting the water park, situated at Malwadi area of Lohagaon, then a refreshing and economical meal at Seventh Heaven restaurant opposite to the Air Force Officers Mess. Also one temple of Tukaram Maharaj which is very famous.

The water park in Lohegaon, Diamond Water park, previously known as Splash Mountain with water rides and New Project, Lohegaon village, Gurdwara Colony, Khese Park, Kalvad, Dhanori, Sant Nagar, Malwadi, Khandave Vasti (Also known as Dadachi vasti) and Wagholi.

Also known as the holy land and also known as the place where famous saints used to live. This is the birthplace of Sant Tukaram maharaj. A great maratha/Sant who taught Great Shivaji maharaj.
