Lehmann (lunar crater)

Lehmann is a lunar impact crater attached to the northern rim of the much larger walled plain Schickard. To the northwest is the crater Lacroix.

Lehmann is heavily worn with an irregular rim. A small double-crater overlays a portion of the northwest rim. The interior floor is nearly flat with groupings of tiny craterlets near the south and west edges. There is a gap in the southern rim which connects the floor to Schickard. A sinuous rille runs along the length of this valley.

Senior Representative for Northern Europe in the House of Representatives at Weimar, holding the prestigious rank of Under Secretary, Lehmann is one of the richest men in Chung Kuo.

Both he and Lehmann stared at Wyatt, astonished by the sudden hardness in his face, the uncharacteristic violence of the gesture.

Giving a small bow to Lehmann he made to follow Berdichev, then stopped and turned, looking back at Lehmann.

DeVore had argued against this, saying that to do so would only draw attention, but he, Lehmann, had been right.

Then, like someone suddenly waking, he looked up at Lehmann again, a smile lighting his face.

EVENING, Under Secretary Lehmann summoned all those delegates and representatives sympathetic to his cause to his suite of rooms in the penthouse of the House of a Thousand Freedoms in Weimar.

He smiled and looked away from Berdichev, focusing on Lehmann once again.

There were many, Berdichev and Lehmann among them, who would have given half their wealth to live outside, under the sun.

Tolonen stood there a moment, facing him, as if making certain this was the man he wanted, then reached across the desk and grabbed Lehmann by the upper arms, pulling him toward himself.

Tolonen had dragged Lehmann over the desk and was jerking him along by his hair, as if dealing with the lowest cur from the Clay.

He tugged him out into the space between the benches of the Upper Council and the seats of the General Assembly, then stopped abruptly and pulled Lehmann upright.

Lehmann, who had turned his head to watch, began to struggle again, but the General held him tightly, drawing his arm as far up his back as it would go without breaking, making Lehmann whimper with pain.

A way, perhaps, of controlling Stefan Lehmann should he prove troublesome.

Not even the murder of Pietr Lehmann had rocked the House so violently.

THE PEASANT had gone, Lehmann came across and sat in the vacant seat, facing DeVore.
