Lavrania is a genus of plant in family Apocynaceae, first described as a genus in 1986. It is native to southern Africa ( Namibia and South Africa).

Taxonomy

Phylogenetic studies have shown the genus to be monophyletic, and most closely related to the Hoodia genus of stapeliads. Marginally more distantly related is a sister branch of related genera including Larryleachia, Richtersveldia and Notechidnopsis.
