Kismat (2004 film)

Kismat is a 2004 Bollywood action drama film directed by Guddu Dhanoa, starring Bobby Deol and Priyanka Chopra in lead roles. It also stars Kabir Bedi, Sanjay Narvekar, Smita Jaykar, Ashish Vidyarthi. It is an authorized remake of Hollywood movie Payback (1999). It was released throughout India and international territories in late 2004. This was the last film produced by Time Magnetics.

Kismat (TV series)

Kismat was an Indian drama television series which airs on Sony Entertainment Television from Monday to Thursday at 11:00 pm IST. The series is produced by YRF Television and premiered on 14 February 2011. It is an Indian adaptation of British author Jeffrey Archer's 1979 novel, Kane and Abel. The story is set in Mumbai, India. It revolves around the stories of two men born worlds apart. They have nothing in common except the same date of birth (15 August 1947) and a zeal to succeed in life. Aditya Raj Merchant is a wealthy and powerful industrialist while Kabir Khan is in a situation of great poverty.

Kismat (1968 film)

Kismat (Destiny /Fate) is a 1968 Indian Hindi film directed by Manmohan Desai, produced by Kamal Mehra and released under the banner of Pride of Asia Films. It stars Biswajeet, Babita, Helen and Kamal Mehra in prominent roles. Other notable actors in the film are Bhagwan Sinha, Murad, M. B. Shetty (father of Rohit Shetty), Hari Shivdasani, Hiralal, Indra Kumar, Jagdish Raj (as Jagdishraj), Polsan, Prem Kumar, Paul Sharma, Tun Tun and Ullhas.

It can be categorised under romantic family thriller film. It was shot in 14 reels, using 35mm film format in Eastman Color.

The film has been noted mainly for the soundtrack given by O.P.Nayyar, which included three songs that became very popular – "Aao Huzoor Tum Ko", "Kajra Mohabbat Wala" and "Aankhon Mein Qayamat". Biswajeet is one of the first heroes in Bollywood to be dressed as a woman on screen for the song Kajra Mohabbat Wala.

This film was the last collaboration between singer Shamshad Begum and music director O.P.Nayyar. They never worked together again. Shamshad Begum recorded her last song for O.P.Nayyar, "Kajra Mohabbat Wala" along with Asha Bhosle in this film.
