Killing Time (Carr novel)

Killing Time is a dystopian novel by Caleb Carr set in the Mid-21st Century. It was initially serialized in TIME and later published in 2000 by Random House. It includes criticisms of the information age (see quotes below). The book was a departure for Carr, whose previous two novels (and his subsequent one) were crime thrillers set in the Victorian era.

Killing Time (American band)

Killing Time is an influential New York Hardcore band. From their beginnings in 1988, under the name Raw Deal, they went on to record two full-length albums and several EPs, singles, and compilation tracks. The band went through three hiatus before formally disbanding in 1998. However, the band re-formed in 2006 and has been touring/playing since. Work on their third full-length album was completed in March 2009.

Killing Time is a horror-themed first-person shooter video game set in an open-world with Full-Motion Video components, developed by Studio 3DO. Originally an exclusive for their 3DO Interactive Multiplayer console, it was later remade for the Windows 95 PC platform in 1996 by Logicware and for the Macintosh after the 3DO system was discontinued. On July 23, 2015, ZOOM Platform announced their exclusive release of an updated version of Killing Time exclusively for their store. The update work was done by Jordan Freeman Group and published by ZOOM Platform and Prism Entertainment.

Killing Time (Massacre album)

Killing Time is the debut studio album by American experimental rock band Massacre. It was released in September, 1981, through record label Celluloid. It consists of a compilation of recordings made at Martin Bisi's OAO studio in Brooklyn, New York in June, 1981, and live recordings taken from their April, 1981 Paris concerts. The group disbanded shortly after, eventually reforming in 1998 with Charles Hayward replacing Maher on drums and further recording three more albums. Killing Time was generally well received by critics.

Killing Time (Tina Cousins album)

Killing Time is the first album by the British singer Tina Cousins. Released in 1999 (2000 in the US), it was produced by Pete Waterman with co-production by Mark Topham and Karl Twigg.

The album contained the song " Pray", which was released in the United States soon after its rapid success in both the United Kingdom and Australia. However, the single did not make an impact on American radio until late 2006, when it was added to the music databases of a few rhythmic/ dance format stations. The album also contained the singles " Killin' Time", " Forever", " Angel" and "Nothing to Fear" which, like "Pray", only became popular in 2005 and 2006, after their release.

Killing Time: The Autobiography of Paul Feyerabend is an autobiography by philosopher Paul Feyerabend. The book details, amongst other things, Feyerabend's youth in Nazi-controlled Vienna, his military service, notorious academic career, and his multiple romantic conquests. The book's title, Killing Time is a play on the near- homonym Feierabend, a German compound noun meaning 'the workday's end and the evening following it'.

Feyerabend barely managed to finish writing the book, lying in a hospital bed with an inoperable brain tumor and the left side of his body paralyzed, and he died shortly before it was released. Killing Time was first published in an Italian translation (by Alessandro de Lachenal) in 1994, with the English original as well as German (by Joachim Jung) and Spanish (by Fabián Chueca) translations following the year afterward. It is one of Feyerabend's best-known works.

Killing Time (TV series)

Killing Time is an Australian television drama series on TV1 subscription television channel which first screened in 2011. It is based on the true story of disgraced lawyer Andrew Fraser. In New Zealand it screens on Prime Television.

The ten part series is written by Ian David, Mac Gudgeon, Katherine Thompson and Shaun Grant. The executive producer is Jason Stephens. The series was initially due to screen in 2010 but was deferred due to strong violence and horror content scenes of the mini-series, which jeopardised a series of gangland trials that were in progress.

Killing Time (Star Trek novel)

Killing Time is a Star Trek: The Original Series novel written by Della Van Hise and published by Pocket Books in 1985. The original manuscript had Kirk/Spock slash fiction elements, and these were requested to be removed by Paramount. However, they were not removed, and 250,000 copies were printed. These romantic undertones between Spock and James T. Kirk were brought to the attention of the office of the creator of Star Trek, Gene Roddenberry, who made Pocket Books recall the first edition. This edition subsequently became a collector's item, with more than fifty changes made to a revised version.

Killing Time (public information film)

Killing Time is a 15-minute long film made by British Railways Board in 1992 and was narrated by Tom Conti. Although it is not strictly a Public Information Film, it is often considered to be so by fans of the genre. The film, which was shown in schools all over Great Britain, is based around a teenager who is killed by a train while trying to cross the railway line. Killing Time was directed by Sue Read and produced by Bernard Morris. It was a replacement for the film Robbie, which itself was a replacement for a graphic film called The Finishing Line.
