Kamaitachi

is a Japanese yōkai often told about in the Kōshin'etsu region, or can also refer to the strange events that this creature causes.

They appear riding on dust devils, and they cut people using the nails on both their hands that are like sickles. One would receive a sharp wound from it, but there is no pain.

They are seen to be the same as the kyūki (窮奇) of China, and kamaitachi are also sometimes written as 窮奇.

Kamaitachi (band)

was a Japanese visual kei punk rock band, formed in Kyoto and active from 1985 to 1991. Their album Hachamecha Kyou reached number 10 on the Oricon chart and was named one of the top albums from 1989–1998 in a 2004 issue of the music magazine Band Yarouze.

Kamaitachi (wrestler)

is a Japanese professional wrestler, better known by the ring name Kamaitachi. Takahashi made his debut for New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) on August 28, 2010, and worked as a "Young Lion" over the following three years, before being sent to the Mexican Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) promotion on a learning excursion. In January 2016, he won his first professional wrestling championship, the CMLL World Lightweight Championship.
