'Hide and Seek ' is a 2005 American psychological horror- thriller film starring Robert De Niro and Dakota Fanning. It was directed by John Polson. The film opened in the United States on January 28, 2005, and grossed $122 million worldwide. Rotten Tomatoes cited praise for De Niro and Fanning for their performances, though its consensus called the film "derivative, illogical and somewhat silly". Fanning received an MTV Movie Award for Best Frightened Performance in 2005.

Hide and Seek (Tracie Spencer song)

"Hide and Seek" is the first single from Tracie Spencer's self-titled debut album. The single was released in December 1987. It was written by Lynn Davis. Although Tracie was only 11 years old when this single and debut album was released, critics and fans alike could see that her voice lurked some potential soulfulness. The theme of the song focuses on Tracie searching all over for someone (possibly someone she has a crush on), who she claims is playing " hide and seek" with her. After this single was released, the second single from her debut album, " Symptoms of True Love", was released in February 1988.

Hide and Seek (Howard Jones song)

"Hide and Seek" was the third single by musician Howard Jones. It was released in February 1984, and reached number 12 in the UK Singles Chart. It appears on Jones' album Human's Lib. Musically, the song is darker than other songs by Jones, featuring an eerie gothic-tinged sound.

The B-sides, "Tao Te Ching" and "China Dance", are both instrumentals. All tracks were written by Jones.

Jones performed a solo acoustic version of the song at the 1985 Live Aid benefit concert. The track reached the top 5 in many countries including Ireland and has been covered by many artists, including a version by the band Gregorian on their fourth Masters of Chant album.

Hide and Seek is the leading track of Japanese star Namie Amuro's 2007 album Play. It is one of the two new songs (the other being "Hello") to have a music video and is being used to promote the album. It has dance, hip hop, and R&B tones and has a synthesized voice in the verses. Namie Amuro has stated in an interview that Hide & Seek was the perfect song to open the album because of its "marching band" feel at the beginning of the song. Amuro won the "Best R&B Video" prize for the song at the MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2008.
