What is "etheria"

Etheria: Ang Ikalimang Kaharian ng Encantadia (English: Etheria: The Fifth Kingdom of Encantadia), also known as Etheria, is a Filipino fantasy television series that was produced by GMA Network. It is the second installment of the entire Encantadia series. Etheria ran for 50 episodes from December 12, 2005 to February 17, 2006, and then gave way to the telefantasya franchise's next incarnation Encantadia: Pag-ibig Hanggang Wakas, which premiered on February 20, 2006.

Being a prequel, the story takes place before the events in the world of Encantadia. Although it is technically a sequel to the series, the story plot revolves around the four elemental Sang'gres (Pirena ( Sunshine Dizon), Amihan ( Iza Calzado), Alena ( Karylle) and Danaya ( Diana Zubiri) and Ybrahim ( Dingdong Dantes) going back to the past when the kingdom of Etheria was in its full glory.

Etheria can refer to:

• Etheria (bivalve), a species of freshwater mollusc in Africa and Madagascar.
• Etheria, a popular Filipino, sword-and-sorcery-themed, live-action TV series
• Etheria (She-Ra), the planet defended by the fictional heroine She-Ra in the She-Ra: Princess of Power animated series.
• Egeria (pilgrim), a female pilgrim from the late fourth century, also known as Egeria, Aetheria, Etheria, Eucheria, or Silvia.

Etheria is a genus of freshwater mussels in the Etheriidae family of mollusk bivalves, and a part of the Unionoida order. The genus includes at least one species, Etheria elliptica, that is found throughout Africa and Madagascar.

Etheria elliptica was first described by Lamarck in 1807, and lives in river basins along the Nile, Lake Tanganyika and Lake Victoria, and in Chad, Zaire, Niger, Senegal, and Angola.

Etheria are found as fossils at paleontological sites in Africa, including at Lake Turkana 3-5 million years ago. It first appears in the Miocene in northeast Zaire.
