Deepwater or Deep Water may refer to ocean water in the abyssal zone, hadal zone, or other deep ocean zones. in the deepwater zone only certain animals are able to live and survive. some of these are whales, giant squids, certain types of coral, bacteria, etc. In the deep ocean it is pitch dark so dark that it is or would seem darker than a dark night with no stars. Also the ocean pressure is so great that if a human was to go in that deep they would explode. In some parts of the deep ocean there are hydrothermal vents. These vents contain extreme heat, and with this heat bacteria and fungi and many other organisms survive and live.

Deepwater (band)

Deepwater is a heavy rock band from Germany. The band was formed in summer 2003 by Matthias and past member Sebastian and released their first album Into the Haze in late 2004. Soon after that they already started working on their second release Floods. Deepwater's music tries to catch the spirit of old seventies rock and combines it with an outstanding and powerful guitarsound - together with blues influences and the unique voice of singer Danijel. Deepwater sounds classical rooted into rock history and inspiring at the same time.

In 2004 Deepwater won a band contest in Bodelshausen "Rock-Without-Limits". 2005 they played together with former Farmer Boys and won the first round of the "VS-Music Contest" and some other gigs in different locations.

Deepwater is a 2005 neo-noir film directed and written ( screenplay) by David S. Marfield. It is based on Deepwater, a 1999 novel written by Matthew F. Jones. It was screened at the Seattle International Film Festival on June 9, 2005, and the München Fantasy Filmfest in Germany on June 28, 2005. The film was shot in Clearwater and Little Fort in B.C., Canada.
