Counterpoints: Live in Tokyo is a live album by jazz pianist McCoy Tyner released on the Milestone label in 2004. It was recorded, along with Passion Dance (1978), in July 1978 at the Live Under the Sky festival in Tokyo, Japan and features performances by Tyner with Tony Williams and Ron Carter. The Allmusic review by Ken Dryden states "Even with Tyner's fierce attack at the keyboard and his heavy use of the sustain pedal at times, the sound is remarkably clear".
Counterpoints is a 1975 album and the seventh released by British rock band Argent. This was the second studio album recorded without founding member Russ Ballard. John Verity stepped in to fill Ballard's shoes with the previous album Circus (at the recommendation of Ballard) after Verity's band supported Argent on tour 1974 tour. Phil Collins played drums and percussion while Robert Henrit was ill.
Counterpoints is an Australian television series which aired in 1958 on Sydney station TCN, debuting circa 29 August of that year. The series featured Norma Martyn and Pamela Page, and featured comment and gossip on what women were doing, buying and wearing in Sydney, Australia. It represents an early example of a Sydney-produced lifestyle-themed television series. At the time most Australian series aired in a single city only, which was also the case with Counterpoints. It is not known if any of the episodes exist as kinescope recordings, the method used to record live and as-live TV in the days before Australian stations had video-tape.
