Chills is a feeling of coldness occurring during a high fever, but sometimes is also a common symptom which occurs alone in specific people. It occurs during fever due to the release of cytokines and prostaglandins as part of the inflammatory response, which increases the set point for body temperature in the hypothalamus. The increased set point causes the body temperature to rise ( pyrexia), but also makes the patient feel cold or chills until the new set point is reached. Shivering also occurs along with chills because the patient's body produces heat during muscle contraction in a physiological attempt to increase body temperature to the new set point. When it does not accompany a high fever, it is normally a light chill. Sometimes a chill of medium power and short duration may occur during a scare, especially in scares of fear, commonly interpreted like or confused by trembling.

Severe chills with violent shivering are called rigors.

Chills is the first solo album from American guitarist Clint Lowery (under the name Hello Demons...Meet Skeletons), released in October 2008. Clint Lowery was in the previous bands: Still Rain, Sevendust, Dark New Day and Korn. He returned to Sevendust after four years.

Chills is an upcoming television show and paranormal investigation team based out of Brighton, UK. The main team consist of a spiritual medium, a research historian and a technological consultant, presented by Curtis Diamond. The show is directed by noted producer Jon Lovell. Originating in the south coast of England, the team built a solid reputation for paranormal investigation through their unconventional format which involves cross checking all claims made by the psychic medium against proven historical fact. The show is awaiting official commission from a number of channels. On 1 October 2011 it was leaked that post production on the first pilot episode had finished.

"Chills" is a song recorded by Canadian rap rock group Down with Webster, taken from their second major-label studio album Party for Your Life (2014). The song was written by the members of Down With Webster and Emerson Brooks along with the song's producers Matthew Samuels and Zale Epstein and Brett Ryan Krueger, under their production monikers Boi-1da and The Maven Boys, respectively. It was released through the group's own DWW Entertainment on December 17, 2013 as the third single from Party for Your Life.
