Casanova is a 2005 British television comedy drama serial, written by television scriptwriter Russell T Davies and directed by Sheree Folkson. Produced by Red Production Company for BBC Wales in association with Granada Television, the 3-episode series was first screened on digital television station BBC Three from 13 March, with a repeat on mainstream analogue network BBC One commencing 4 April.

Casanova (1971 TV serial)

Casanova is a British television drama serial, written by television playwright Dennis Potter. Directed by Mark Cullingham and John Glenister, the serial was made by the BBC and screened on the BBC2 network in November and December 1971. It is loosely based on Italian adventurer Giacomo Casanova's Histoire de ma vie (Story of My Life; 1780–92). It was Dennis Potter's first television serial, having previously written single plays for the BBC's The Wednesday Play and Play for Today series. Frank Finlay starred in the title role and was nominated for the best actor award at the 1972 BAFTA ceremony.

Casanova (comics)

Casanova is an American creator-owned comic book series by writer Matt Fraction and artists Gabriel Bá and Fábio Moon. It was first published by Image Comics and premiered in June 2006 in the Slimline format of 16 pages of story per issue, sold at the reduced price of $1.99. Beginning in 2011, it was published by Marvel Comics' Icon imprint, and in 2014 the series moved back to Image.

The series centers upon renowned thief Casanova Quinn, who gets "blackmailed into being a pawn and double agent in a global game of super- espionage".

Casanova (Anita Skorgan song)

"Casanova" was the Norwegian entry in the Eurovision Song Contest 1977, performed in Norwegian by Anita Skorgan.

The song is an up-tempo number, with Skorgan describing her husband, who is absent at the time. She is uncomplimentary about this, singing that he sees himself as a Casanova or a Don Juan figure, and this irritates her. In this particular instance, he claimed he was going for a walk, but "his suit and car are gone", implying something else.

The song was performed fifth on the night, following Austria's Schmetterlinge with " Boom Boom Boomerang" and preceding West Germany's Silver Convention with " Telegram". At the close of voting, it had received 18 points, placing 15th in a field of 18.

It was succeeded as Norwegian representative at the 1978 contest by Jahn Teigen with " Mil etter mil".

It has become a standard number for New Orleans brass bands following its popularization by the Rebirth Brass Band.
