Cape lion
The Cape lion is possibly an extinct subspecies of lion with the taxonomic name Panthera leo melancholaitus, or a former population of Southern African lions, as in Southeast (Panthera leo krugeri) or Southwest African lions (Panthera leo bleyenberghi).
