What is "callitriche verna"

   Water starwort, an aquatic plant ( Callitriche verna) having some resemblance to chickweed.

Callitriche verna is a submerged/floating-leaved aquatic plant in the plantain family (though sometimes placed in its own family – Callitrichaceae). It is found in aquatic environments in North America.
