Belu is a UK based bottled water company that operates to the highest environmental and ethical standards and donates 100% of its profits to WaterAid. Belu is commonly referred to in the media as the “UK’s most ethical” bottled water.

Being a social enterprise, Belu operates on a triple bottom line with the aim of achieving social and environmental gains whilst remaining financially sustainable.

Belu was the Portuguese name for eastern part of Timor island, which included the kingdoms of Wehali, Lichisana and Suai-Cabanaza. In 1756 the western part of Belu and West Timor fell to the Dutch.

Belu was an early Assyrian king. He is listed as the fourteenth among the "seventeen kings who lived in tents" on the Mesopotamian Chronicles.
