Basedow's disease
Basedow's disease \Ba"se*dow's dis*ease"\ [Named for Dr.
Basedow, a German physician.] (Med.)
A disease characterized by enlargement of the thyroid gland,
prominence of the eyeballs, and inordinate action of the
heart; -- called also exophthalmic goiter.
