Azad (2000 film)

Azad is a 2000 Telugu, Patriotic film, produced by C. Ashwini Dutt under Vyjayanthi Movies and directed by Thirupathisamy. Starring Nagarjuna Akkineni, Soundarya, Shilpa Shetty in the lead roles and music composed by Mani Sharma with adapted screenplay by Yandamuri Veerendranath. The film was released on 29 September 2000 to positive reviews and became an instant Hit at the box office. The film completed successful 100 day run in Hyderabad. The film was dubbed into Hindi as Mission Azaad and into Tamil as Gurushethram. Also the film was remade in Tamil as Velayudham starring Vijay and was released on 2011.
